I Miss Ken Layton

Nah... just a diversion while sims run at work....

Similarly, for me it's while waiting for code to compile...

Ditto. However, in my case the compiling always seems to finish before I'm done looking at the forums. :D Awesome comic, btw.

I agree, there were times I wouldn't even post help I would just email him direct. He seems to know how to fix anything. How about Dokert, haven't seen him around either.

Dave has been on vacation playing Grampa. He should start posting again soon. You know how junkies are, after rehab they slowly ease back into their own habits....:D

Both Ken and Dave great guya, and are assets to the forums, for sure.

They will both be back, I'm sure. They do pop on every once in a while, when they get access

I have been spending time with my kids playing SC2 online. I haven't been fixing anything arcade related lately due to my pending move. I still answer pm's, but just a little slower than my norm. Yes, I am an arcade Junkie and I will not be able to stay away for too much longer.

Somewhere local to where I am now. I am a renter and our house just got foreclosed on Friday. We have 90 days to find a place big enough for all of our stuff.

Damn! That is the suck! You pay your rent and the landlord spends it on hookers and blow instead of paying the mortgage. That is just plain low.

Have you thought about talking to the mortgage holder? Banks around here don't want anything to do with real estate right now. They will dump houses cheap just to get them off the books.

Populace was a great game.... build high and flood out your enemies :)

Wasn't that Populous by Bullfrog?

Great game, loved doing the build high and flooding. The heart beat getting faster and faster, oh yeah!

Yes. Bullfrog did the original Populous. I think I still have it on 5.25" floppy for the PC. Don't have any 5.25" floppy drives though....:(

We are good with it, we knew it was coming. We will have 90 days rent free to find a place, and there are lots of places around here going for a lot less than the $1900 a month I was paying. We just have to find a place big enough for all of our games, as we are not willing to sell any of them.

Dave:

I'll tell you, you are very fortunate you are getting 90 days. I've heard about situations where the tenant isn't privy to the foreclosure, and after the sale, the sheriff shows up at the door and tells the tenant they have an hour to grab everything they can and get out. Just like that. It happens.

While your situation could be better overall, it could be a whole lot worse. And I suspect by your responses already that you know that.

Be good my man.

He still has high speed internet and will for about 3 more years... I know, I get the bill (with the credit balance showing (over $900 still!)) each month.

I suggest you move to Pennsylvania. Close to me so I can bring games over for you to repair. 3,000 sq. ft. home plus a full size walk out basement = $1,600 mortgage!

Or Texas, plenty of cheap one story houses (sorry our basements are on the second floor) and the heat would feel good on your neck :).

Who wants to live in Pennsylvania or Texas?:D
It is way too humid in Texas for me.
Never been to Pennsylvania but I wouldn't like living where it snows in the winter.
I would rather drive to the snow if I feel like playing in it.;)

If you are a renter, by federal law you have 90 days. If you are the owner of the house you have 20 days in Washington, and each state has their own timeline for owners.

The wife isn't going to go for that, too far away from family.

I can't take that Texas heat, it is brutal.
