I love the 90s, too.

Not including my MK1 that is in my garage...

Nice X-Men btw. That's one game I just can't pull the trigger on. It's so freaking massive.

This reminds me, in 6th grade I told myself that I would one day own a TMNT arcade. That changed when SF2 hit, but strangely...I never really fulfilled that promise. You'd think after all these years I would have at least had one pass by or looked at one sitting in a warehouse.

I just went off topic twice. So, the 90's! What a decade! :) Great competitive games! Great hip hop! Questionable clothing choices. Violent gang/crack epidemic. Flannel shirts. Parachute pants. What a horrendous decade. :(

Yep, we love the 90's too...

The first half of the decade was pretty great. Great games, great films, great music. Somewhere around '96, though, it all started to turn to shit.

My first and only cab is a 90's machine: A Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. Well, sorta. It's got the 6-Button setup for Street Fighter-like games. I took advantage of that and bought that cool CPS2 18-in-1. Works great! Hell of a board to own, especially since I have NO space for more machines.

Gonna be cleaning out my old office in a few months. Hopefully, I'll have enough space to put a cab or two on there. If I could do so, I'd love to put in a NBA Jam or a Simpsons.

I played a lot in the 80's and went off to college in 1990, but find that a lot of the games I really loved and play the most are mid to late 90's and beyond.

Virtual On
Raiden (1990)
Under Defeat (actually from 2001 is probably my favorite)
Marvel Vs Capcom
Marvel Vs Capcom 2
X-Men Vs Street Fighter
Radiligy Noir (2009 just released in Japan)
Power Stone
Super Puzzle Fighter
Neo-Geo (in General has some truly awesome games)

I actually have like 5 working Naomi Systems and about 15 carts for them as well.

I have a lot of early arcades in my collection, but I was actually surprised that by that. When I first started in the hobby I thought I would only buy Jamma and later games. The games from the 90's and beyond are some of the most fun for head to head and more then one person play. It feels more like the rare early game that is fun as a two person or head to head.

I've never seen that model before, is that even USA?
I was under the impression they only made the elongated
29" version and the 50" with pedestal.

Maybe it's a limited "street" version?

here's the flyer showing the two USA models:

I believe that is a converted HOTD2.

I was under the impression it was dedicated. No question that HOTD2 came in a similar cabinet. No matter, its the Wife's toy, it looks cool and it serves it's purpose. I do know the guns were replaced recently (probably HAPP).

When did you get a Neo-geo? Nice cab.

Started off empty. Remember that half height Street Fighter I bought from you? The monitor, PS and wiring from that game is whats in this one now. So the Street Fighter lived on for awhile, then I decided I wanted a Neo-Geo. From there I bought a 1-slot PCB and a multicart and then found a package deal on the artwork (marquee, CPO and side art). That was about a year ago.

Now sell me that Tron.

:D

My roommate had dedicated Pigskin and I played it a bunch in college. Would like to get one again one day. A dedicated Trog is another that I would like at some point.
