I love my new PSP

How good are they these days? When I was still using my PSP, they were still pretty new and clunky.

I've only spent time with the MVS emulator tonight and it seems to be working great. No slow-downs, no sound/video problems. I'll dig into the CPS1 & 2 emulators in the next couple days.

Just spent some more time with all 3 of these emulators (MVS, CPS1 & CPS2). They all run great. MVS is perfect as far as I can tell. CPS1 & 2 I personally didn't notice any slowdown at all although I don't have any CPS1 or 2 games available to me to compare them to. The slowdown on the same CPS2 games when I had my Gamebox 450-in-1 cab was more significant than anything that might be on this emulator.

So yeah... I'd recommend checking these 3 emulators out for anybody into these systems.

BOOOYAHH!! Thank you for taking the time to check them out and leave a little feedback on it - I'm about to dive in!

PSP was pretty cool, but I think the longevity would have been better for me if I had one of the newer models with TV out. Also getting in at launch and playing with all the buggy new homebrew stuff decreased my enjoyment. And having to re-hack the OS every time Sony released a new game with a firmware update was a pita.

Still got mine. Haven't touched the thing since about a year after launch, and only played it a handful of times in that span. Probably going to get rid of most of my consoles and games soon, and this is sure to go at that time if I can get ANYthing for it. Can't justify keeping it when the only exclusive title I really played the hell out of was Ridge Racers (epicly sweet remix of the RR titles, loved it).

You know what I did play the hell out of back then though? Neo Geo Pocket Color. Match of the Millennium FTW, bitches.

Yeah, pretty much the same story for me as well. Mine still sits at fw1.5.

Good fucking times. I love that system. I should dig it up here soon.

LOL yeah, same here IIRC, stock 1.5.

Best. Thumb. Stick. Evar. Period.

Maaan I busted mine out a ways back to play some games, but my original launch one was dead (gives a backup battery error even with a fresh one, and can't get past it to play). Probably need to take it apart if I still have it to look for damage to the battery contacts.

Luckily I still had a clear "New" NGPC (the slim kind). It worked fine. :D

I would love to see a NGPC collection released on DS or something. That would be super sweet. Wouldn't be the same, mind you, but it'd be awesome to have them all in one spot on a good screen.
