Tonight I was digging through boxes of stuff in the closet again and found:
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis instruction manual
Street Fighter 2 - SNES instruction manual
All of the Sunday ads from 1990 Toledo Blade - LOL
Rage Racer import PSX disc
My fave:
Electronic Gaming Monthly - Nov 2006 - 2 copies sealed in metallic plastic, the Gears of War headstomp covers - 1 cover shows a locust stomping an early Marcus, and vice versa. I should try and grab a pic, I had forgotten that I saved these. They should be worth something in another 50 years.
My current cell is a bucket of shit, so excuse the pic quality.
Edit: I was just thinking 2006 seems like yesterday - I had just gotten my first full-time position as a graphic designer, I hadn't even gotten my 360 yet when I bought these. I remember I used to listen to the 1UP podcast when I had to work late, and really wanted to start writing game reviews and stuff, just to have some portfolio fodder for anything that would ever come open in the game publication industry. I still would like to do design for a game company or magazine, but I'm not realistic sometimes. lol Where is time going? Everything just keeps going faster and faster. Years are blazing by man.
