I lost my Son

Sending you strength and good thoughts. I can't imagine what you are going through. I am truly sorry for your loss.

So very sorry to hear about your loss. Your story has brought me to tears, as a father, I am also fortunate enough to have a son who loves pinballs as much as I do. The same type of pick-up and competative and repair stories we share.

Thank you for sharing, so very sorry to hear about your loss.

Oh man, I can't even think of what to say, other than to mirror others and offer my condolences. You definitely have a collective ear here if you ever need to talk.

The loss of a loved one is always hard. The loss of a best friend/son/buddy is even harder. I am so sorry for your loss. Cherish those memories and photos. He will always be there with you no matter what.

Simply heart-breaking. Thoughts and prayers to your family and friends. I hope you can take the cherished memories and give yourself and your family strength when it's needed.

I appreciate all the kind words and offers of support. It has been nice to read the many posts. I don't think anybody can truly appreciate the player 2 button gesture more than a fellow collector, so that's one of the reasons I wanted to share. Aside from my brother, my wife and my 2 daughters, I haven't shared that with anyone else. Tomorrow is the service, followed by the committal. I have many family members and friends coming into town tonight, so things will be a bit crazy until the end of the day tomorrow. Thanks again for the support and kindness.

Grant, thank you for sharing about Logan. The Player 2 button tribute is a beautiful way to remember. My condolences to you and the family.

I saw this initially, but didn't post until now. Lots of emotions in your post. Not much that I can say that hasn't been eloquently stated already. I am so sorry.

I feel that I can share now. My father passed from cancer when I was 16 (he was 42). They let us, the family, take one last look before closing the casket. I still regret not loosening his tie. It was always the first thing he did when he got home after wearing a suit, which was rare. It is still surreal that I am older than him now.

Please be kind to yourself, and help each other. Grieving is different for every person. You absolutely did the right thing with the button.

Take all the time you need, and don't let anyone tell you differently.

My condolences. You are a strong person to be able to share this and as you have stated it is fitting to share with this community.

Sincerely,
Blake

Grant, so sorry to hear about your loss. You and your son looked like you really enjoyed this hobby. Sending him off with the 2P button is such a great tribute.

Condolences to you and your family.

I am so, so sorry for the pain you and your family are feeling.
Hang in there.

I don't know you but just reading this weighs so heavy. You're blessed to have so many great memories to hold onto. My condolences to you and your family.

Wow :(

So many morons and assholes still running around at higher age and then this great guy had to leave so soon.
The story behind the missing 2-Player-button made my cry...I have a daughter (21) and a son (18) and losing them is the most terrible thing I can imagine.

My thoughts are with you and your whole family!
