I know there are a couple of you guys who have Skee Ball machines

How do you like having one in your house? Does it get played a lot? Whats the replay on them? I'm moving into a house in a couple of months and I am really thinking about buying one but I'm just concerned that I would get tired of it quick. Also the amount of space that one needs I just want to make sure it would be a good purchase.

i want one and a crane

I know a guy who has a Skeeball in his living room. it a HU now.

I have an ICE-BALL in my garage. (This is not my pic. It is currently surrounded by several projects I am working on.) It does take up a LOT of space and it weighs a ton. But I have a 7,5, and a 2 year old and they absolutely love it. They are a little irritated with me that they can't play it at the moment. It is a huge hit when they have friends over. It is also the only game that I can get my mother to play. She loves it.

I don't think it will be leaving anytime soon.....

What are approximate dimensions on one of those babies? I'd love one in the garcade.

I have one, the kids love it. I'm not sure if it's the game or the tickets it dispenses that keeps them playing.

My ICE-BALL is about 30" wide and 10 feet long.....

EDIT: Online specs -- Height: 84" Width: 30" Depth: 120" Weight: 650 lbs

I have a question about SkeeBall machines:

BIID, this is the machine I remember...
classic-skeeball-1.jpg

...but I remember the same machine having two different "start-up" tunes:

Bum-bum-da-bum-bump bum-bum-da-bum-bump bum-bum-da-bum-bump bop ba bop!

and...

do do do DO da DO!

Is this right?

Thats the exact one my friend has! It does make a sound like that.. but I can't remember.

I don't suppose anyone on here works the CPU boards for these? I have a model S CPU that doesn't count the points when you hit any of the targets, but it seems to work otherwise. A buddy gave me a second one that we thought was good but turned out to be dead (though some other tech in the past had left a damn screwdriver inside it which could have shorted something).

Skeeball is indeed great fun. I even have this sweet sign from a local arcade that closed down. I have no idea if this is homemade or what but it looks freakin' sweet.

Man, all these posts about skee-ball are making me jealous. One day I will find one on the cheap.

I saw one go for $150 once around my area.. too big I thought. Not say you shouldn't get one!

pics from when i picked the 3 up. And yes they play that old music that was referenced earlier

I have an older model H with the green cork bed. It it 13' long. The biggest problem aside from moving it is finding the best place to put it in the gameroom. During a party it is constantly being played.

A must have for any skeeball setup are the corner pockets.... The ones that typically score 100 points.

That always was my favorite variant of skeeball.

At my first auction ever, they were blowing them out at something like $50 a pop. I would need another garage to fit one, though. :(
