is anybody else playing the Williams Pinball Classics video game? I've been playing it on the Nintendo Wii, and admitedly, it's not the real thing, but it's pretty damn close. If you don't have room or money for the real thing it's a good way to get your fix.

Nah, you are good. Its a great game - well done. I play it more than any other Xbox 360 game i have!

The game also turned me onto taxi and funhouse - i liked them so much that i ended up getting them (only to sell them after some time with em).

Man those Wii graphics suck though.

I have the PS3 version but curious about how the Wii version plays. Do you nudge with the controller itself?

The graphics are a little bit of an issue on the Wii, but I prefer the controls for it. You use the wiimote and nunchuck triggers as your flipper buttons and you can nudge the table just by nudging the wiimote or nunchuck.

I just wish they had more tables. I pretty much just play Taxi, Funhouse, and Whirlwind now.

Have you tried Virtual Pinball or Future Pinball? I have them on my Mame box and there are some really fun games.

I have it on Xbox, Wii and PSP. I play it on PSP the most though since it's on-the-go. It's awesome. I usually always have my PSP with me when I travel. Flew to LA recently and was able to play a few games of Taxi. :D

I have two of the actual games included in it (and plan on getting more) and still love it. I got it for the Wii, then gave that version to my sister-in-law when I got the XBox 360 version.

The ball is a little "floaty" compared to the real things, but it still feels pretty good and its neat for learning the rulesets for the actual games when you get to try them.

I like it. It is also handy because it has the complete rulesets for all the games featured. I may have spent as much time reading the rules, as actually playing the games.
Funhouse is the best on that one.

The Gotlieb collection is cool too, it has Black Hole.

i have both the williams and gottlieb collections and plan on getting the new one when its released. no,its not real pinball. however, its great fun and a way to play pins that you may not have ready access to. both of mine are for the wii.my wife and i were just talking the other day about getting the williams collection for our sons 360 so we can play no good gophers and medieval madness.

"FarSight Studios is extremely proud to announce that we will be releasing a new pinball game in early 2012! We've been busy acquiring licenses, building new tables, and developing our technology on many platforms (including iPhone, iPad, and Android). We welcome all comments and table suggestions (we keep a running tally of all requests). We want to ensure that our game will be the definitive collection of classic pinball! Stay tuned for updates over the next few months!"

i found this on pinside. i have not been able to find anything else yet.

hmmmmm.......no mention of the consoles. that sucks. i like my droid and all, but if i'm gonna be playing virtual pinball, i'd rather do it on my 360.

I have it for my PS3 and love it. I wonder if my high scores show on anyone else's games.

i'm assuming it's just like the 360 version, so yes, your high scores will show up (assuming you're online).

they'd have to scroll through everybody to see it, unless you posted a score/game, but i think they'd be there.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, they're no substitute for the real thing but I really like the games and there are a lot of skills (especially in the rule sets) that transfer to the real deal. I hadn't played Funhouse since the 90's until I got this game. Had the game for a month, went to the piball museum in DC and came out pretty damn good (for me anyway).

I have fun with it on the Wii from time to time. I was seriously amused the one time a ball got loose on the floor (yes, somehow a ball got out of the pin and rolled across the floor a bit and out of sight). I think I ended up having to exit back to the Wii menu to regain control (it couldn't quite deal with the ball going missing). I was most annoyed when I heard the 360 version was going to have an extra table - I'm OK with the Wii graphics (I j
knew exactly what I was buying), but the missing table annoyed me.

Other than that, it's pretty cool - I don't want to spend the money on a bunch of pins yet, so I'm pretty happy with it.
