And all I have to say is wow! I feel like Pink Floyd is normal now. It was kinda cool to watch but I only understood the basics or that humanly possible without drugs.

while I don't condone recreational drug usage, it definitely helps...

I have watched that movie in all kinds of altered states...

...but not for a couple of decades.

I will have to dig out my old VHS copy and watch it sober to see if I understand what's going on.

I love the movie but it just doesn't hold up to the album, The Who doing Tommy is one of the greatest albums of all time.

I love the album, and I do love the movie soundtrack also, it is a masterpiece by itself.

I simply don't understand how fans of "The Who" are convinced that they are one of (or in many cases THE) greatest rock band of all time. Most people couldn't come up with the names of more than three of their well known songs, and probably 90% of people asked to do so would call Baba O'Reilly "Teenage Wasteland". They simply don't compare to so many other groups.

Just because you have been around for a long time and a lot of people recognize your music does NOT put you on the same level as even The Rolling Stones (who I personally don't even care for). I didn't write this to start any trouble. It's just this is something that I have never understood, and while most everyone else doesn't give The Who the time of day, their fans are CONVINCED that they are bigger/better/etc than Led Zeppelin (who IS more popular) or even Pink Floyd (who has them ALL covered). The Dark Side of the Moon album alone has probably sold more copies than The Who and Led Zeppelin's entire release collections COMBINED. Michael Jackson's thriller is the all time highest selling single album and absolutely NO ONE will ever be able to match or even exceed it's success because digital distribution has just about eliminated retail album sales...
