I would spit in the general direction of Bart Taylor and the Thompson Twins, Rod & Rex, if I ever happen to run into them for what they did to Cru Jones on Helltrack.

Funny that you bring this one up because just last weekend they had a 25th anniversary celebration for the movie "Rad" in Canada where it was filmed. A good friend of mine went and took his 85 Mongoose "clone" of "Cru's" bike from the movie. He spent the weekend hanging out with the writer, director (who also made "Smokey and the Bandit"), the actor who played "Cru" (Bill Allen) and many of the stunt riders. They did two special screenings of the film on Friday night and then had a bike ride tour on Saturday of the various filming locations, including where "Hell Track" was, the school, the park where the preliminary qualifier was held and other various locations. My friend had the "time of his life" and he sounded like a kid on Christmas morning when telling me about it...

I'm in Calgary (actually, I live a few blocks from Bowness Park where the qualifier was filmed) and I went to the Friday night screening with the director/actors and it was AWESOME! It was the first time I'd seen the movie in theaters in 25 years, and the stories they had to tell after the movie were great. Thumbs up from me too...
