I just got this 7" lcd color touchscreen monitor, what is it worth if I sell it?

Keep in mind I don't try to get rich off of fellow klovers.

Maybe it's worth nothing I don't know.

the sound is good, color is good. I wouldn't call it new, but it's only been turned on for maybe 10 minutes of it's life.

thanks

it currently has a (sd card?) in there with titleist advertising on it. I believe it has a motion sensor as well, because it turned on whenever people walked by, but I may be wrong about that.

it plays video, and is interactive to touch currently. stereo sound. I had the ability to go to menu and either play video or go to set-up mode. Didn't mess with that much though.

I know very little about things like this unfortunately.

It's pretty cool.

Looks like the auction you posted is testing the waters too. It ended once with a $50 opening bid and $75 buy it now. Now it's down to $25 and $50.

Does it only play what is on the SD card or are there other inputs on it?

Looks like a touchscreen kiosk display to me. It's meant to run a little standalone app off the SD card, that is interactive.

No other inputs, no real use unless you know what software it uses (Even then, not much use unless you want to program similar things for it), or you have a datasheet/schematics for the touchscreen controller so that you can use it for something else.

picture 5 shows an input, though you guys appear to know more than me about this.

so I am not making a little 60 in 1 or a test rig out of this is what I hear you guys saying huh?

Play Format
.mpg (MPEG 1/2/4, VCD)
.avi (DivX, XVid)
.vob (DVD)
JPG

slap some video files on a different sd card, plug it into the unit and see what happens. if it just starts playing them it could be really useful.

I could think of some cool things to do with that thing.

Just copy a Tron DVD over to an SD card and see if you can access the DVD menu. The .vob files is probably what they use for interactivity. So if you have some DVD authoring software, you could make a custom menu for it.

if it will play jpg's as a slideshow get the 48 or 60 marquee jpgs or even gameplay vids, and use it as the marquee for your multicade. if the motion sensor makes it come on when you come near it, that would be awesome.

Wow an LCD marquee would be awesome! It would be better if it filled a whole marquee though. But I guess you could have a printed marquee with a hole in it the size of the screen.

from the faq. Seems like a neat little piece of hardware.
3 or 4 across the top of a marquee would be cool, not sure how well they'd stay synced to each other though.

14. How do I load content onto FlashView ad players?

Videos, images, and videos with audio can be added simply by dropping the files onto a flash memory card. No special management software is required. Just be sure to format the files according to the ad player's rrequirements. For example, the FlashView 1000 and 2000 series require maximum video resolution of 720x405, AVI, DivX, or Mpeg format, and a video frame rate of 30 frames per second. Be sure to properly convert your original videos to these specs to avoid playback issues. When in doubt, check the user's guide or call us for help.

ok well, $35 shipped if anyone wants it. (cheaper than a marquee) :)

I have a mounting frame of sorts for it as well.

Would be a cool multi Neo-Geo marquee...

WOW! On the Neo-Geo forums there is a guy making a LED replacement for the EL mini marquee lights. It would oh so awesome to use a LCD picture frame in each of the mini marquee slots and have the backlight on each hooked up to the original lighting circuit so when you select a game the brightness of the selected game's mini marquee lights up brighter. It would be really awesome cause you could put a slideshow of screen shots in each mini marquee so it wasn't just the original artwork!

Some of those LCD picture fames support video too, it would be crazy awesome if you had a 1XX-in-1 in one of the slots! You could put video of all the games!

Edit:
If Neo-Geo Mini marquees are 4.437x5.387 then by using the Pythagorean Theorem a 7" LCD would be the right size rotate 90 degrees.
