I have always been pretty anti-Halo. I am more of a Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty kind of guy. However, I have owned all of the Halo games but never finished any of them. Tonight I finished HALO REACH and I really enjoyed it. It was by far the best HALO game to date! Good stuff.

Anyone else finish it?

I was thinking about buying it.

There was another thread on this game, someone mentioned that they played through it the first day it was out.

Are you playing any multiplayer? Seems like that's why most people buy it.

I have not owned a console system for a very long time....but....hands down....the best game I ever played as a 1st person shooter was Halo...awesome game and man O man did I ever break a sweat when dealing with the flood....edge of the seat freakout heartbeat elevating gameplay.

Yeah bungie finally managed to get that "Halo" feel in Reach. Halo 2 sucked HORRIBLY, Halo 3 was way better than 2 but still not quite as good as Halo 1. Reach actually feels like Halo 1, even online.

And even with 3rd reincarnation of Blood Gulch in it, it works. Blood Gulch was awesome. "Coagulation" in Halo 2 was SHEEEIT, "Valhalla" was basically an homage to BG in Halo 3, but "Hemmorhage" in Reach actually feels and plays like Blood Gulch with better graphics.

I got out of the FPS genre about 10 years ago. There were some great FPS games in the 1990s - the ones that come to mind are: Unreal, Quake II, Half Life and Jedi Knight.

I have an Xbox 360 but never use it. But I plan on checking out this new Halo game.

I feel out of FPS's about the same time - just after Unreal came out, actually. After that, my PC at the time just couldn't handle much else. It wasn't until I played Call of Duty 3 years later that I started to get back into it.

But I've never much cared for Halo...
