I have always stuck to the Mortal Kombats and Killer Instincts as restoration projects. I enjoy the fighting games, but i don't really play them all that much. So I'm looking for a new game to search for and add to the game room. I was thinking of a pinball machine but they are so dam $$$. What would you guys add if you had a spot for 1 game ?

Thanks

Chris

First through is a neo geo multi slot. You can throw some good fighting games in it as well as others like metal slug and bust a move(puzzle bobble). You have a few other good puzzle games like the magical drop games and some misc other interesting non-fighting games.

Second would be Sega NAOMI cabinet. Once again some good fighting games but with a simple cartridge swap you have a few other types of games to play. Virtual tennis comes to mind

You have so many fighting games that you like but don't play? Because if you like 2D fighters Marvel vs Capcom 2 is imo the best fighter there is.

If you're looking for a suggestion of a cool game and cool cabinet, how about Budweiser Tapper? Difficult to find though.

X-Men 6 player. Go big or go home. :)

As for Casino Strip, I saw one in a Punch Out cabinet once. It had two monitors but one of them had been replaced by a K7000. The LD player worked but the PCB didn't. So it just played the crappy 80's porno over and over.

At the risk of being branded a heretic, I'd suggest either the first or last machine always be a multi-game.

get a pinball.. You can find a decent pin for under $1k. You can even get a good pin under $500.

Plus once you get a pin you will find you won't need all those MK cabs..

I'm sure that was fun. Plug the game in to see if its working and porn starts playing. Press all kinds of buttons and nothing happens. HaHa

To answer your question though ctozzi, "San Francisco RUSH - The ROCK: Alcatraz Edition" is the obvious choice here.

Asteroids deluxe, trust me when i say its addictive.and the art inside the cab with the black light and the image floating infront of the asteroids and space ship are awesome. It took me a while to find one but i play mine everyday.

Heretic talk ahead, please look away.

Bring up MAME on your PC and try some games until you find some you like. Then go looking for them. Or go to one of the many game shows and play some until you find ones you like.
