I have been slacking on my label-swapping.

Does anyone else fall behind on this when they swap out 45s? I put new 45s in the juke about a month ago, and hope that this weekend I can finally get the corresponding labels in there. I used to be right on target with doing them at the same time I did the record swap, but lately the kids have been using the computer to print out pics and when I have time to finally make the new labels, there's no ink!

Nothing like having to say "uh oh yeah I *think* that's number 131 in there right now". Sigh.

i moved my jukebox into the same space as most of my games and started swapping out a few 45's here and there... it's been more than a month and i still have yet to make some new labels. i keep meaning to but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

i suppose i could do it now but i'm feeling lazy. i'll do it tomorrow. or Wednesday maybe.

When I had my 45 juke, I would keep the labels in with the 45s and then when I changed the 45s, I'd put the labels in at the same time. The only downside was that it took a good 2 hours to change out 80 records.

I never realized how long it takes until I swapped out my whole juke. Between the box itself and the wallbox I have in the den, I killed a whole afternoon.

I'm quite organised. If I order a new record I have the label printed up and in the machine ready, having moved the records around in the carousel so that the record to be replaced is where the new one will go, so it's a straight swop.

I do like to keep my jukeboxes in a specific order.

In one, there's Motown in a block of 50 and 50/60s pop, 20. The records are arranged in alphabetical order of Christian name of artist or name of group.
The other jukebox has blocks of 30, 70/80s pop, 10, doo-wop and 10, jazz standards arranged the same way.

I use this free site for title cards. Lots of options.
