Folks:

These have been in a safe for years along with other arcade parts I've bought over the years. Unopened 440 Exidy kits.

I'd rather not use PayPal to avoid fees and shenanigans.

I'm well known in the community for being honest and dependable and I'd like to work with the same.

$875/each obo.

So these haven't been tested by you, do you offer a guarantee they will work? I am looking to replace a kit that was DOA.

If they are still sealed in the bag, I would be surprised they would not work. Prior to baggin' they would have been tested by Mike. Yah.
I don't see why the OP would need to provide a warranty.

If it was "used", then, maybe, the details of the transaction would be more complicated ...

Yeah, unopened. Kept in climate controlled home in a special place in a gun safe. I've not tested them myself so warranties would go to the manufacturer. I guarantee nothing as I've not removed them the seal is unbroken and I'm passing on what I bought.

So you had these in a safe for "years" and you still think that the manufacturer will warranty these after all this time? I would be surprised if he did. Thats like me buying a Hard drive new putting it in a box for years and then taking it out to use it to find it did not work and expect it to be replaced.

Not so much a "manufacturer". Mike is a good guy and would most likely do whatever he could to help with repair. He's busy and it may take a while, but I would also guess that he would be willing to help.

I agree with this statement 100%.

Interesting perspectives in this thread about guarantees.

I never said that the manufacturer would guarantee anything. But it would be on him to decide whether he would honor any warranties on an unopened product of his, not me. He packaged it and sealed it with a decal that is ruined upon opening. That decal is still on both packages.

I bought a lot of repro and NOS stuff in twos for many years and never used any of it. Never opened any of it. I didn't manufacture it, and didn't open it, so I can't guarantee anything other than what I'm telling you about how careful I was with it to store it somewhere safe is true.

I suppose this deal isn't for those looking for me to provide a money back guarantee.

And to those grilling me about guarantees and putting quotes around words as though I'm not telling the truth, what kind of guarantee would you provide me that upon delivery, an otherwise presumed working kit isn't somehow damaged by you upon removing from the packaging and installing. Perhaps you accidentally drop it on the ground and then claim it arrived broken. What guarantees do I have against any of that?

Seriously, this is an easy deal for some awesome 440 kits. I've got a good rep around here with long-standing members in doing deal going in every direction for over 10 years. I'm not out to screw anyone over, but I'm not putting myself into a position where I'm going to get screwed, either.

Cheers!

Oh, I've had a few offers via PM I'll get back to you guys tonight or in the am.

OP is a straight shooter and a good guy. I know these kits don't exactly cost peanuts, but I assure you, he's not going to cornhole you.
