Tempest; Nice cabinet, overall in nice condition; Spinner needs a rebuild. Made a odd high voltage hiss when playing it

Was playing with a good boardset, but it comes with a non-working set.

Battlezone Mini; Joysticks need work; Cabinet a little scuffed but in presentable shape; Game plays fine except a speaker rattle (may need replacing)

Tempest is on my top 10 games to own, BZ upright falls in my top 20

Not sure about the mini..not the same without the periscope, but minis have cool factor on their own..

thanks everyone for the input..

Both games are in reasonable driving distance too..no shipping

Battlezone was one of my favorites, and I ended up getting a cabaret that was about $400 but it is in excellent condition. I don't mind not having the periscope at all, plus the cabinet is so much easier to move than the Atari lead cabinets.

I just paid $475 for a working BZ mini. Good sticks, good shape, no water.
It was on my list. I did not want the periscope version.
If it's a game you want, you pay the price :)

I have an open face full size and one with the periscope in my garage now sitting side by side ( they belong to someone else, i got them working for him) and after playing both quite a bit i will say that the periscope looks a lot cooler but i actually like playing the open face better. I get tired of having to look through the scope all of the time. Still, for myself, I would choose the periscope but for superficial reasons only.

Forgot to mention Tempest. I have a CT and sold my UR. Working on a Tempest is a pain, but if it's just a boardset it shouldn't be that bad. Be shure to check the rest of the guts because one thing can always lead to another with those.

I got a Tempest UR in the same condition you are talking about, non-working boardset, monitor not working, but everything else is there, cabinet in good shape. I paid $300 for mine. I spent some time on the monitor but got it to work, I had to add the low voltage protection upgrade. The board have a few chips bad, but one cost some money to replace, it was the MC1495 in the Y output.

You are going to need to rebuild the monitor. And like previously mentioned Tempest sets are a Pita to work on. Good cab prolly in the $300 range.
