That was my point about filing the complaint ONLINE. They can't just sweep it under the rug then! The ones filed online do get reviewed and followed up on. They can't just brush you off like this guy was doing.

The clearer case you make with solid facts and no emotion the harder it is for them to refute it. Report each and every incident.

NEVER deal with the Supervisors at the local branch. Most of them ARE the problem, I've even had administrators in the Postmasters office tell me that. Instead, call the POSTMASTER office for your city AFTER you have filed the complaint online. The Postmaster's office does review those complaints. My approach was to both file complaints online and then call the Postmasters office directly too. I made myself the biggest pain in their ass I could. They had lots of incentive to FIX the issues so they wouldn't have to hear from me....and they did.

When complaints get filed, they reflect badly not just on the carrier, but on the supervisors as well. I would also include how you tried to raise it with the supervisor and you were completely brushed off and dismissed. That will reflect badly on him and is not a mistake he will soon make with you again. He'll start to take you seriously because YOU can now directly affect his job and his pay in reviews.

Same thing happened to me the postmaster will just stick up for the carrier in most cases.

Rarely are you dealing with the ACTUAL postmaster for the city, unless you are in a VERY small town. Most of the time you are just dealing with the branch supervisors who are next to useless.

Filing online means they can't just dismiss you and make you go away.

I would also file complaints with the Postal Inspectors. The last thing the local Postmaster wants is the Postal Inspectors up in his business and mangling of packages clearly qualifies as postal tampering! https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/mlntrcvd.aspx

Here is how to locate the Postmaster for your area: http://about.usps.com/who-we-are/postmasterfinder/welcome.htm

It also doesn't hurt to remind them when talking with them if they are being less than cooperative how well stories about Postal issues play on the local news. I made that point a few times in regards to identity theft exposure they were creating with the misdelivery issues I had.

Basically get all up in their business from as many different directions as you can at once. It makes a very strong impression and they will react quickly.

The mail man doesnt like me. He thinks I get to many packages. We got in a argument one day. He said I cant run a business out of the house. I told him im not in business, that im a collector. He didnt believe me.

You most certainly can run a business out of your home, that is why we started the Carrier Pick Up Program. It was to compete, directly, with UPS. By imputing the information online, your carrier HAS to pick up your packages. The minimum amount is having only (1) piece of Priority mail, with a Click-N-Ship label that has Delivery Confirmation on it. Also, there has to be a designated, secure location, that you put on the manifest, where the packages will be.

If its a heavy box he wont even deliver it. He leaves it in the truck and sneeks up to the door. He leaves a slip saying he attemped to deliver it, and that I need to pick it up at the post office:mad: I caught him one day. He has done this to me 3 times!!

They are supposed to attempt delivery, at least once, then slip you.

lazy ass union government worker. its his job to deliver the mail man.. id be complaining to the postmaster..

Yes, yes, and yes.

WOW That explains everything. It's really none of their business. What does he care? That is his job.
I would report him.

Yes

1. you can run a business out of your house

Yes

If i complain im scared he will trash other things!!:(

I will PM you about what this

I think your right!!. The packages I send I take to the post office, so the only thing he can mess up are incoming packages!!

I will PM you about this too.

Man, it's incidents like this that make me wonder if I will ever retire from there?!? :dontknow:

Wow! You got your package from twisted quarter! What good fortune you had. I waited about a month and finally contacted them. My package had a tracking number that had been scanned once, then dissapeared. They tried to make an insurance claim on it and were told they could not due to the fact that they had no pacakge to show damage and that the post office had up to one year to locate the package. Twisted Quarter replaced my shipment at their expense and shipped via UPS(not that i care much more for them) and the package arrived that time. +1 for Twisted Quarter -1 USPS.
