I hate the Mail Man!!

Great advice. The new mail man use to misdelivery mail too until I reminded him that, We still believe in doing things old school and still give tips to the garbage and mail man during Christmas. He was a lot more friendlier still after 5 years after the fact. it's good to know there is a back up plan if he still misdelivery

The point is, it is their JOB to deliver it properly. And there are plenty of people willing to take their job if they don't want to do it. The issue as I pointed out to them becomes one of identity theft. When they are misdelivering bills and bank statements to other people they are enabling identity theft to occur.

In the height of the battle I was having with them over this, when mail was getting misdelivered on a weekly basis, I got a large envelope addressed to someone else. On the BACK of it was written "no mis-deliveries to 6809." MY address is 6809, so what does he do? He delivers it to me. I made someone from the Postmasters office come out for that one to explain to me: 1. Why they are writting notes on people's mail. 2. How they could have been so stupid to deliver that to me, especially in light of the previous issues.

This was all several years ago now, and the problems have been non-existant ever since.

The part about your Postman claiming you can't run a business is BS. Once you report that and he gets called out on it, and the other things, then that shit will stop. USPS is so desperate for any kind of business they can get these days they do take this stuff seriously.

I had to complain about the Saturday mail guy a few years ago. He would always sneak up and leave a note instead of trying to deliver packages. I haven't had any problems since I complained.

The mail man doesnt like me. He thinks I get to many packages. We got in a argument one day. He said I cant run a business out of the house.

He is full of crap. Not only can you, but you can schedule daily pickup.

My box from twisted quarter came yesterday:(

Are you sure packages that come from "TWISTED" Quarter aren't supposed to look like that, twisted? kidding....

that does suck, my delivery person is really good.

my mailman is awesome and will always knock or ring the bell to let me know he left a package outside of our mailbox.

I'm lucky, I have a really cool mail man too. I'll leave him 10-12 key chains packages at my door and he'll ring the bell and waive to me or my wife when he picks them up.

I love the comment about not being able to run a business out of your home. So funny! :lmao:

Complain to the postmaster. It's the mail man's job to deliver the mail.

I had an issue with getting those "failed to deliver" notes - and one time I *watched* the mailman putting the note in the box, without even so much as getting out of the truck. Did not even attempt to deliver it - and it was obvious we were home (cars in the driveway, garage door open, lawn mower out).

I immediately drove down to the post office (it's less than a mile away) and asked to speak with the postmaster, and explained what had just happened.

What do you know, I haven't had a problem since.

Ive had issue to where I wasn't receiving my packages and they were being sent back saying no mail receptacle convenient that it was really cold and snowing around this time. I complained allot and the post master got involved suffice to say she said the packages were sent with the wrong carrier I didn't believe that shit for a minute since I live on the only Broadway in town and its same street as the post office which is on two blocks away.

Now 90% all my boxes are damaged when received the items inside or OK except for some live aquatic insects I ordered which was delivered busted open and soaked everything my mail box.

Rambling aside I only ship USPS when its a flat rate box situation otherwise I go to the local going postal shipping store and the other carriers are cheaper than USPS almost every time. Get this FedEx and ups don't fuck up my packages.

Im pretty sure we should just privatize the shipping industry and do away with USPS.

Just got into it with the mail man!! Im calling the post office. My package from Scott Evans that came today is damaged. I have not opened it yet to see if my NOS Quantum back door sheet is damaged yet!!:(

time to send some heavy as balls fake packages flat rate and setup a hidden camera jawhn style... matter of fact that reminds me i gotta go harass him in that burgularized thread

My wife and I kid about sending a solid brick of depleted uranium (one of the heaviest materials) the same size as the largest flat rate box.

Make a stink. A BIG one. File a complaint online. Go down to the post office and demand to see the post master.

Tell your neighbors. Tell people at the grocery store. Tell people at church. Tell people at the gas station.

Trust me, your efforts WILL pay off. This guy needs to get booted.

They'd probably reject that. Their flat rate boxes have a weight limit of 70 pounds.

But you COULD fill it with rocks. ;)

Called the postmaster today. After talking to the mail man. Told him what was going on, He told me that there was probably to much air space in the boxes, thats why they were getting crushed:confused:.

I told him about my previous problems. The supervisors name was Paul. He started telling me what a great carrier he was. I asked him how he knew who I was talking about, because I had not even given him my address yet. He told me the carrier called and told him I was going to complain. What a crock of shit.

I asked if there was a policy of putting a sticker on a damaged Item, if it was damaged in the post office. He said if anymore of my items are damaged before the mail carrier gets them, he is going to have the mail carrier bring it to him before it goes on his truck and put a damaged sticker on them. and gave me a 1-800 number to call if I think my carrier is damaging my items.

Here is todays package from Atari Scott!!

Let me know who your supplier is. I need some for a time machine I'm building out of a DeLorean.

Did you tell them about his previous comments to you about you getting too many packages and him giving you business advice?

Those boxes look like they DROVE over them !

I've apparently been very lucky so far, maybe it helps that the stuff quickly goes in a plane to Europe.

Boxes like that are not brought by the regular mail man overhere, they have a separate delivery van (like f.i. UPS and Fedex) to deliver those boxes, so the guys doing that work are used to it. I have a good relationship with the guy in my area, never had a problem and he's friendly enough. I still prefer USPS when I get stuff shipped from the US. They're still cheapest, delivery usually within a week and I have had no problems at all so far....touch wood, fingers crossed....

I hate UPS etc. because they only deliver on working days (when I'm working, duh !) and if I have to pick stuff up it's usually a 20 minute drive or so. USPS packages I can pick up 400 meters from my house at the post office...but usually they just deliver it to a neighbor. (depending if it needs to be signed or not) No problem in this area.

Yes told him about that. He again said what a great carrier he was:confused: He has already taken sides before I called!!:(
