I had a good week for test equipment (PVM's and Scope)
My friends in Babylon don't appreciate this stuff, and I had to spout off somewhere
Picked up a Tektronix 466 with the DM44 addon, and a pair of Sony PVM production monitors, 8" and 5"
The scope needs probes and I'm told it's only pseudo-calibrated. In that someone who's experienced with it could probably read it reliably. Well I'm certainly not, but I'll give it a shot, hehe. Maybe they can even be dialed in at home...
The PVM's I picked up after reading about them here. Notably that they accept external 15.75kHz sync and analog RGB, so we can plug PCBs into these bastards. Having a fetish for tiny electronics and a Commodore 1084S monitor already on the bench, I opted for the smaller varieties, an 8" and the super-cute 5" model. I have a BNC-VGA breakout cable coming in that I'll hack up and slap on a harness. These should be alot of fun.
