I Guess They Call This A Grail...

it looks cool, but i wouldn't want one either. It just takes up too much space. I would like to play it a few more times though (i've only played a dot not an edot).

+3

They are very cool lookin, though! Nice score!

Very interesting - all I EVER see on these boards is how ppl want an EDOT..
Where have all the "I WOULD NEVER WANT ONE" responses come from?
Now the mystery is solved as to why there is one on EBAY right now BIN and nobody has touched it.

Where? EDOT, TRON, nor DISCS OF TRON pulls it up.

Endofline... not trying to get into one of those big drama fests on here - but am I wrong on this - it seems like EVERYONE always drools over the idea of picking up an EDOT... I just find it strange that ppl are saying - I would never want one.

But I do agree - IT IS FREAKING HUGE!!! but one cool game for sure.

Let me rephrase... If I had the opportunity to get one cheap, I would. But it's no supergrail for me, personally... It's a cool game. I have weird reasons for collecting the games I do...

(And it's usually because they are cheap... :D)

yeah, the edot IS friggin huge. like 700 pounds huge! everyone's got their own opinion on these grails/rare/sought after games. alot of lovers and alot of haters out there. its all good..... no drama mama ..... enjoy your new game man :) chris

Don't get me wrong, it looks awesome, and one I've definitely seen people drool over on the boards for years.

But, I tend to only get cabinets of games I played a lot growing up, and I had never seen a DOT in person until last year at Ground Kontrol (still haven't seen an EDOT in person).

Since I have no memories of it, the nostalgia factor isn't there for me.

If I had a huge arcade room and one was available for a reasonable price then I might get one but I never liked the game much at all when it came out and pretty much the only thing it would have going for it for me would be the cool looks factor to have in a huge game room so I would not even want one either. But different strokes...

If it makes you feel any better, I'd take an EDOT (for a reasonable price) any day. It's a great game with and incredible cabinet.

Everyone talks about the look and space. How about the most important factor: fun to play?

I think that in 1984, I spent more time in the EDOT cabinet than I did in my house. :p

1, 8 pack of pepsi bottles returned + 20 cents = almost a couple hours of this game.

Then I discovered Excitebike and it was all over.

There is one on ebay in AL. The seller also has a Radarscope Cockpit and a Tira Tira from gameplan. But he wants like 1999 for his.
