Try Orange Power - you can get it at pinrestore.com (along with a lot of other good supplies).

With Magic Eraser - you risk taking off the paint AND you get that nasty white residue. This Orange Power - spray, sit for 30 secs or less, wipe off. You will be amazed. No scrubbing.

(Disclaimer - I am not affliated with either Pin restore or Orange power, AND i will not be held liable for any damage you incur from using it!)

Just got in from using it - incredible. The only issue is make sure you are ventilated. I just breathed in a little and sheesh i must of done damage to myself!

Sure - nothing left to clean but have a few vids on their way over. If any of them are good filth candidates I will post something up here.

Some more insight - magic eraser is good for surfaces that need a little grit and are not painted- like plexi and bare wood, or Metals, or, Painted with clear coat on it (just make sure not to burn through the clear - be gentle). It acts like Sand paper. That is the risk for painted / not protected surfaces - you risk burning through the paint REALLY fast (i would say its a 600 grit?).

This orange power is a heavy duty remover - it will remove any in ground dirt that i have had difficulty removing when using 409, Magic eraser, simple green, etc. It ALWAYS removes any dirt that is there, and i have yet to hurt the underlying paint with it. It also leaves a nice sheen.

Ok, enough bragging about it. Back to work!

As Modest suggests - i will show examples when something comes in that needs it. Thanks.

sounds good

think i might want to neutralize it after
dont want any residue to keep on working

does it say what to use for clean up ?

It seems that Water is the neutralizer. Washes it right off - this works like Acetone (same neutralizer there - water).

By the way - another plug for this stuff. I am all out now - need to order another batch- last night i was messing with my HVLP / Air compressor and got Oil all over my slate patio. Really bad - my wife was PISSED. I sprayed on this Orange power and yes, removes it. Simply amazing.

I have used orange power degreaser at work! Def don't inhale! Lol!

What have you used it on? Playfields, cabinets, plastics, etc???

I have some stubborn ball swirls on my Pharaoh that ME can't get out. Is it safe for playfields?

Can you please post a pic of what it looks like in the bottle or whatever? I have some nasty things on paint that I want to clean off my machines. Thanks.

Hi - Scroll down on this link - you will see the bottle. Labeled Industrial Orange Power.

http://www.pinrestore.com/Supplies.html

It is used to remove the adhesive gunk under mylar (for cleared / diamond plate / post 91 playfields). I would be careful on painted playfields (pre 91 / non cleared playfields). I have used *lightly* on cabinet sides without adverse affects, following up with alcohol / water to make sure to washes it away. I havent had any instance of paint removal. Using Magic eraser - I HAVE removed paint (lightly, but annoying). I believe Magic Eraser is more dangerous than this stuff.

Again, if you have pent up dirt that others cannot remove - this is the solution.

Oh one more thing - you will notice the crazy clean product above the orange power. Its "ok" - doesnt remove the dirt the same way.

Safer - not sure. Stronger - yes (much stronger). As i noted, my experience with it (5 pins / 3 vids so far) has been good. Havent removed paint - just cleans the surface.

I originally got it to remove the goo under mylar since i had less than stellar results with Goo gone. Saw it on Pin restore and figured i'd try it. Is good at removing adhesives.

Put it back on the shelve. I than got a game that was filthy. Damn Magic Eraser was leaving residue AND removing paint (light spot, but that was enough for me to shelve it). I then needed to remove the white residue. I tried everything. I figured next in line was this - so i used that - and found that it not only removed the residue from the magic eraser, BUT cleaned what ME wasnt cleaning. Have been using it ever since.

One more... Goof Off. Better or worse?

One more... Goof Off. Better or worse?

Not sure - havent used Goof off. I hesitated buying that in the past since I saw warnings on its strength and didnt feel that i needed it since i have this stuff.

Again, this stuff is Strong / use lightly / to be used as the last resort on tough jobs - it will remove what you need - havent found something it cant remove.

I would be careful with it on the Plexi / paint side - i think it would remove it with a good scrub. I havent used it for that application, but have a feeling on this stuff that it would remove it - if you scrubbed hard enough. If you just spray a drop / wipe lightly it probably would remove surface buildup.

Here's another question. If you've used Magic Eraser before, and since it dulls things you want to get the shine back, what would you use?

Good question - since getting the shine back is the goal.

Plastic (and plastic like) surfaces (clearcoats, tmolding, joysticks, buttons, etc)- Novus 3 (sometimes), 2/1. Absolutely. Plastic is the BEST to work with - since I can sand it if worse comes to worse. And the novus leaves it shining (followed by Wax of course).

For everything else - Simple green first and possibly last (i hope). If that doesnt work - i am at the Magic eraser or orange power phase. Orange power usually prevails (i have had little luck with ME - just dont like the residue cleanup and potential for sanding paint). Believe it or not, after the Orange power, followed by light soap water cleanup, the shine is back.

Its great on *SOME* side arts (painted and vinyl - milage will vary - test spot it), control panels (ABSOLUTELY), marquees, plexi , pretty much everything. Again, followup with soap water cleanup (light). Tried alcohol cleanup but that leaves residue sometimes.

Buy a bottle - its worth it.
