I got my "number one"--After Burner Deluxe!

I have lots of NOS Afterburner parts on my site. I just got in an NOS deluxe control panel plastic that I need to list as well.

And here is the ONLY way to move this beast :D.

Now I wouldn't say that you can barley see it in the picture but I build a big ass platform with wheels to move mine. We maneuvered the game on it by hand Jacks and cinderblocks. That will make a man out of you real fast LOL.

Isn't it insane that they originally built this monster with those tiny ass nylon wheels? Mine are totally crushed form the weight of the game I will have to put some new heavy duty locking ones on when i get a chance.

Totally insane. My castors are missing (which I knew from the auction description) and the brackets are a little banged up underneath. This appears to be a design "oversight" from Sega. I think I'll just get the feet put on and move mine around with the forklift.

Congrats on that - I love the game but wouldn't want to deal with moving it. I remember when I picked up my very first arcade game; it was a Space Tactics cockpit. The guy had one of those next to it - made my cockpit look like a midget cab!

Thanks so much for all the congrats! I just ordered some parts form Sega. That's a new experience--ordering parts from the original manufacturer of your game, who's still in business, and who has parts in stock!?!

This is one of my grails as well... but I know there is NO WAY IN HELL my parents would ever let that thing in the house... these type of beauties are the ones you save for AFTER you get out of high school and through college.. :)

Very seriously,
Whats worse, is my arcade tech friend worked for the guy. He had sold him the very well maintained working one. He was out on call one day and when he got back, he found out that they had already hauled all 3 off because "no one wanted to move" them to different arcades. He went to the landfill after work, but it was too late. But hey, when an operator makes a million plus a year, who's got time to care about preserving arcade games. The crap these guys have scrapped, burned, or trashed could probably fill a couple warehouses. But I digress.

Seriously? Did he realize how much money he was throwing away?
