I get to do an Ignite speech about "Pinball: A Game Of Skill"
Pretty cool. Ignite events feature speakers that get 5 minutes and 20 slides that flip every 15 seconds to talk about something before an audience. The previous 2 ignite Lincoln events have been a huge success. I feel honored to be invited to participate when many folks had to apply.
I was recruited as a featured speaker by the guy who runs it in my city of Lincoln, NE. He heard about my arcade through friends and swung by one afternoon. Apparently my enthusiasm about pinball while he was over made an impact. I initially was so excited and then got a bit scared, but they accepted me and I get to do it.

My bare bones plan:
minute 1: explain my love for pinball, past to current. Explain how I really never learned any skills till 10 years after owning my own machines >.<
minute 2: my main goal of describing pinball being about control and avoiding randomness
minute 3-4: talk about a few control techniques with the slides backing me up, The beef of my presentation
last minute: promote my google pinball map, places to play around town including Omaha, and resources for folks who want to get better.
Here is an Ignite pinball presentation from Greg Dunlap: How to not suck at pinball
I do not look to recreate his presentation, but some things will be repeated.
I pretty much have my idea down, but hoped maybe yall might have suggestions. Would love some great oneliners about pinball I can mix in.
