I would think this to be the norm with any online $5 purchase, which is why people wait until they can place a nice-sized order before doing so. This would be especially the case with a place like mouser, who Im sure the majority of their business comes from bulk buys.

The last time I ordered from Mouser, it was $12 for parts $15 for shipping. It came in a huge box with a 20 pound catalog, all for 4 chips.

A good hour of notification prior to will call.

Personally I've grown to like allied better. Closer to home, better service.

This is why I scroll down to the bottom of the list and choose USPS Priority Mail.

you just havw to wait untill you need a bunch of stuff and buy it all at once..

sometimes you can get piecemail stuff of of ebay but the prob is you never know wher youre getting a good deal and when youre getting krap. ALso avoid chinese sellers, takes forever to ship all the way over here.

Batteries can't be shipped airmail. Result of the patriot act. Any battery has to be shipped ground as a hazardous material. This may affect shipping cost as well.
