Check out this sweet NOS kit I found while exploring my warehouse find this afternoon. I have seen a couple people post about this game before, but mostly they are posts like "what the hell is 'The Glob?'". It is a kit made especially to convert a pac-man by providing a daughter card (a-la miss pac man) and swapping a few roms on the main board. I'm probably not going to sell this as I think it is too cool. Just doing a little show-and-tell.

that is cool...

I'd say do the conversion and have a super rare game up and running...

Yeah. Perhaps. There were a few pac-cabs that had been converted to something crappy. At least this would be unique and quasi-dedicated seeing as it was made for pac man. Too many projects right now though...

Personally I really appreciate it when KOLV'ers even jsut share this sort of thing.

While I'd love to OWN this kit, I still enjoy seeing photos of things like this still being turned up.

If anyone has not played this game before I highly recommend it. I think Phet was saying something about it a while back but I might have the person mixed up.

It's a pretty good concept and is a fun game.

Yep I am definitely looking and will buy that kit from you if you are selling Preston. Been looking since I saw one at the 'warehouse' where I picked up my Q*bert. PM me if you are.

i have one in my garage, already converted. It's a cool game, has some playability. it needs a new cpo, and sideart, they are on it, but could be better. Has a sound issue not sure why, sound just quits.. can be had for 350.00 any takers?

I kinda regret selling all of the kits I got from my basement buyout, so I really think I'm gonna keep this one. It looks too fun to give up right now. Let me sit on it for a while.

The other 2 kits were of the same game - Donkey Kong 3. It came with board, cables, nameplate, marquee, bezel, sideart, pcb cage, and instruction manual. I was only able to find one control panel though.

Dont know if I'm gonna sell these either as I may decide to pimp out a crappy convered nintendo cab and keep the other to show as a trophy to newbs who come over to geek out. Ha!

Thats cool..I have the very same kit with all the pieces too...
Jeff..there isn't a manual..that comes with it but it does have sheet with basic information for the conversion process...I'm going to do a dedicated cab with all that art and some extra stuff....thanks to Jeff..

yeah, what he said ^^^

Just two sheets of paper about swapping roms and soforth.

No sale on the DK3 stuff yet, and even if I do, it will probably be a piece at a time unless someone wants to pay a premium for a one-stop-shop, but I doubt it.

I had a few of those dk3 kits to..sold a few and still have a few myself..I like the game as it grows on you..it doesn't have the following of dk..or dkjr..

just curious, how much did you sell your kits for?

May I ask what on Earth possesses you to place NOS plexi marquees and bezels face down onto gravel cement? Are you nuts?

ohhh ok then....fheww

This is kewl...so what....paint a pac-man red with yellow t-molding to match the sideartwork? Hmmm. You got some serious possibilities with that. Congrats on the find.
