This is so kick ass Tighe! I would love SF4 in arcade form. You got my gears going now! :-D

Great job! Love seeing your projects

Dont take this the wrong way, but you build some of the weirdest shit, ever. A virtual boy UR, an XBOX UR, and aren't you building an SNES UR? Its not my cup o' tea, but I cant knock the efforts.

Respect.

Thanks JOW, I wouldn't expect any less from you! :D

You know I have regular arcade games too?

The SNES is actually going to be Donkey Kong '94 which is the true sequel to the original Donkey Kong in my eyes.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Can't wait to see what you got in store for that Nintendo cab your building

The hardest part will be the artwork, which I have some really good scans (2400 dpi) of the box art and manual. What would be really helpful would be scans of the original DK sideart, bezel and marquee. I have a DK control panel already.

That's what it was.

I just couldn't have the space, or the want to play consoles in UR form. To each his own, my man. Keep up the good work.

+1 and props to JOW for saying it. I was thinking the same thing when I saw a cab for GB DK. I was like huh what? Love the game... it's in my top 100 actually, but not in an UR.

Love the idea of a X360 arcade machine... problem is that it needs a 16:9 monitor for SSF4AE and stuff like that. Lots of folks do a LCD Viewlix style complete build. This cab seems better suited for Hyper Spin.

I can't knock the efforts. Lots of well done stuff there. I differ on aesthetic choices but props for building what you like and doing a good job of it!

Being that I've known tighe for longer than I haven't known him at this point, *you* have no idea as to the Weird shit he has built over the years. No idea... LOL

I agree, a LCD Vewlix cabinet would be way better. This was built with free parts for the most part. I got the monitor for free from Killert6969 and the cabinet from SRW. I got the controllers boards out of 360 arcade sticks that I converted to run on PS360s for friends. The most expensive part on the cabinet is the florescent red plexi on the control panel.

Playing Space Invaders Extreme and Space Invaders Infinity Gene are awesome on this cabinet. Also R-Type Dimensions, I could go on and keep mentioning games that would be awesome in the arcade these days.

You mean like the off road roller blades? How about the dirt bike with the ski on the front. That one was SO much fun!

I actually love the uniqueness of your cabs. They answer those questions of..."what if?" and show that some of these console games really could have been released in the arcade.

...then Modern Warfare 3 comes out and he yanks the 360 out of the cabinet for 6 months. ;)

Hot damn, this is amazing! I had been considering making a machine for Soul Calibur V and now I'm really tempted to do actually try it. Very nice!

it's all about Pac-man CE DX FTW.

In my Noir clone I leave a 4 way gate so I can swap that in when making runs at Pac-man. Otherwise I leave the octagonal gates in for SF4 action. The control panel flips up easy so that you can access all of the controls.

Very Nice work! I am almost done getting my 360 into an Egret 2. I just need to wire up the controls. I am using a UltraCade UVC to convert the 360 VGA to 24khz since the Egret 2 monitor is dual rez (15 and 24). It looks and sounds great on the E2. I was hoping the PS360+ for wiring up the controls would have come out already.... I guess I will have to find another way.

I have been playing a lot of MushihimeSama Black label with the monitor rotated vertically.

Well the aforementioned off road roller blades for one, They where strange. and yes the Dirt bike with the ski. The attempts at building his own big feet type skis. His various miniaturization ideas/projects. I wish I had pictures of them, LOL. The funny thing is that with a lot of his ideas you would thing drugs where involved, and then when you realize they aren't it makes it even more impressive..

I am quite literally amazed at some of the ideas that come out of his head, and the fact that he actually completes them, even more amazing. All my crazy ideas never make it past, the "Dude, what if we did this?" stage.
