So I've been at this for awhile, no not 20 years like some of you old skallywags, but I bought my first pin in 2005 and the rest is history.

Anyway, I have never owned nor bid on or tried to buy a Ms Pacman until yesterday. One shows up on CL...The guy had a broken one up in Akron, was asking $500. I sent him an email asking for more pics and if he knew what was wrong. He said no, it just quit working 2-3 years ago.

Based on the pics I offered $400 but told him I would need to see it in person before I would commit and he bit. I drove up today and checked it out. It was DIRTY. I have never seen a game in someone's house that was this dirty. But I checked it out, it played blind, and the artwork was a little faded, the bezell was chipping at the edges, so I offered a bit less and off I went with my new Ms Pac.

Once I got her home, I cleaned her up a bit and tested for voltage at the monitor chassis. Looks like the chassis has a bad HOT. I pull it and put one of my spare g07 chassis in (without taking the tube out) and Viola! In less than 30 minutes I've got a 100% working mspac and my total investment was less than the original offer (gas, chassis and all).... I still may replace the marquee, not sure on its authenticity as I havent pulled it off yet...

just curious, but why are you questioning the authenticity of the marquee? based on the minor fading on the cab, i'd say that's probably original, maybe not to the game.

I thought the same about my marquee on a similar cab. It seems to be original. Enjoy!

Great pickup and fix btw. :)

I agree with the other poster the pink fades. It's like that with the mrs and mr pac-man pinball machine too.

Nice score!
