I feel like I'm losing a friend . . . my second Berzerk

Hey Guys,

Though I'm still new to the hobby, I've somehow managed to get my hands on a number of cabinets rather quickly in my short time I've been here. I've sold a couple of the cabinets I've gotten and I haven't thought much of it honestly. I've also regretted not getting some cabinets but this is the first time I'm trading a cabinet that I don't really want to part with but it will be getting me a personal grail.

I'm trading my second Berzerk machine, my RC31 fast bullets machine. Its not a machine I play much, actually it usually only gets played with by my children, I usually spend hours on my fast bullets machine.

I'm trading it for a really nice shape though non working Berzerk cocktail. The cocktail is in amazingly great shape, but it has a power supply problem, I'm not worried about that power supply problem at all, I have several spare Berzerk power supplies that I can just drop in. And really I have enough spare parts to replace everything in that cabinet including a spare Berzerk cocktail wiring harness!

Has anyone else done a trade for a grail but had to let go a machine you didn't really want to part with? Just kind of struggling with this one!

Thanks

I think just about everyone here has had a similar situation. It's all part of the hobby. I sold off a bunch of grails a couple of years ago, and of course there's a couple I wish I had back. One thing I've learned though is most of the time a second or third opportunity rises to buy a prized game again.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I'm a Berzerk nut and I never thought I would be letting go of any of my Berzerk stuff, but I want a cocktail this one is in great shape, I guess what makes it better is I know I can get another upright eventually. Still I keep looking at that machine and I feel guilty!

Cocktails take up a lot of space, I'd keep the upright. But a nice looking BZ CT is hard to come by.

Don't have to tell me that! I have got two Berzerks, a Frenzy, one of the three prototype Mark Spaeth ZZPU boards, and more spare boards than anyone would believe purely for Berzerk.

Agreed with everything you said and if I only had one Berzerk machine I'd keep it especially with the amount of time I have spent not only playing it but getting it into the condition its currently in.

The way I see it, if I end up not liking the cocktail I know I'll be able to either sell it or trade it for another Berzerk cabinet. I have to say, when I saw the artwork, I was shocked, its in great shape, which is really the only reason I'm getting the unit!
