I don't really know what kind of price a Joust commands.

lol, in this economy and now that I am like a 2 year member of klov I am one cheap ass mother.
check that...
definitely more patient than I used to be.

Joust strikes me as a game that even non working, if complete, a guy could get $250 for.

That's a fair price. I never cared for them, but Joust is a popular game. At least the guy posts some pictures.

It is worth about what he is asking, but I would try to get it a little cheaper. The cabinet needs some work, but that all looks fixable and stencils are available. Just pick at the cabinet when you look at it and offer him $150-$175. Worse case pay what he is asking. :)

Considering this is a Joust in a storage facility, I had to post this pic... Just beat him down on the price.

I guess it depends on if you want to fix the side art or not. You'll have to buy the stencils and paint for that. Looks like the CPO is in decent enough shape to keep it. You don't know what's wrong with the boards. Could be just the power supply though.

A fully working Joust in good condition is not worth much these days - maybe $300 or so. Doing a lot of work on this cab will quickly put you upside down in this project.

I'd offer $100.

What do you guys think? Read the full description.

Im pretty sure this cabinet was worked on recently by my store. It had monitor issues but if my memory serves me correctly the chassis was sent off to be repaired and re-capped. Game worked fine but now wont show any picture. I think its a board problem. If this is said game it had a leaky battery and its all corroded. The guy is nice and probably would come down a bit. The reason i think its the same one is because he called the other day and asked me about taking a look at it because he had to sell it. I asked him to call me when he could be next to the game to try and troubleshoot. He never called back. But like i said he was a real nice guy and should be easy to deal with.

$200 is not a bad price, but I would try $150 or so. The board issues are probably fairly simple. If you can get video on a Williams board you are halfway home. You would probably want to fix the worst of the dings, but the art is not bad. I have seen a lot worse. All of the pieces are there, so that is a good thing. Worse case, you part it out:
- boardset $100-$120
- control panel $50-75
- bezel $50-75
- coin doors $25-35
- marquee $20-30
- wiring $10-100 (ebay is goofy that way)

That price is fine. Joust in nice shape can still pull $400 easy. Just don't even attempt to sell anything in good shape for a decent price on this forum.

That Joust is not in good shape .. I'd be wary of the bottom and if you look at the pics in the photo album..the seller had to remove paint to get to the original art work. 125-200 would be the range for me considering the cab needs more work and if the wiring harness is hacked up.

Uh, I think you're looking at a different cab. The Brown/Tan cab in his photo album isn't just the Joust...

That game has been all over CL and eBay for quite some time now. There must be a reason why its not selling. I was acually considering making an offer on it until I saw all the swelling on the front of the cab in the photos provided. Might be worth a preview though. He had it over $400 firm at one point, now hes down to half that. Cash talks.

game's been really wet, look at all the puffing around the coin doors and control panel bottom.. that's my guess why it hasn't sold.
