i was thinking about it, and having a nice space invaders and a satan's hollow, with both the space theme and the enemies flying down at you theme, i just don't know. maybe someday to fill up the eventual gameroom, but it's off my must have list for the near future.

anyone else notice that? galaga and satan's hollow are kinda similar. both have enemies that fly down at you. both have ways to get additional firepower, galaga with the extra ship and satan's hollow with the extra cannons. and finally, both have bonus setups, galaga with the bonus levels and satan's hollow with the bonus points.\

that is all.

I have both Galaga and Satan's Hollow and while they are similar, they're still two completely different games, and I wouldn't give up either.

I wouldn't scratch Galaga off your list, Galaxian, sure.

Get rid of Satan's Hollow. It's a neat game, if you already have Galaga. However, I think Galaxian is the best looking cabinet of the bunch.

I am totally BAFFLED at how people like "Satans Hollow". Other than the "interesting" artwork, I find the game to be lacking any real "play feel". I understand how some on here might like it because it isn't too common, and the fact that the cabinet is bright red and all, but I NEVER saw any of these machines when they were new. Guess that is why I never personally got "into" the game. Galaxian, when in a nice original cabinet, is my favorite of the three...

personally, i prefer galaxian over galaga. it's a lot more challenging. and i like the cabinet art a lot more.

I think that you could even include games like Space Invaders and Gorf.... not exactly the same but they arent too far from the other games you mentioned.

I had the same dilema and got rid of my Galaxian (although it does have cool art) and kept my satans hollow Galaga and Gorf and Space Invaders

I play both regularly, but more so Galaxian. I have a real fondness for both that go way back so I will be keeping both of them in my collection. Most people (of a certain age) recognize both pretty equally and if they have not seen or played one in a while get pretty excited at the opportunity to play either.

I have both a Galaxian and a Satan's Hollow, and I wouldn't get rid of either of them. I searched high and low for a SH and finally ended up finding one 6.5 hours away. I love the game and the cabinet is to die for. I love the theme, love the blacklight, love the red flight stick, love the trigger, love the shields, love the change from day to night, love the concept, love the music, hell, I love all of it.

Galaxian is one of the first games I ever remember hearing about Back in '80/81 (besides Asteroids and Pacman), and I don't feel that a classic arcade would be complete without one. I drove 3.5 hours for my Galaxian. I feel while it may be a simpler game, Galaxian has far better artwork than Galaga. I have never played Galaga, but it seems that most of my friends who are NOT in the hobby know about it or love it.
