just got an i cade 60/1...the directions dont say much, as a newb i cannot figure out how to access the menu or system to change the number of lives and turn the sound down, as many of these are very loud...my dips only gave me 1 guy on my pacs on this board and its all working great but cannot figure out how to get into that menu to switcxh that stuff around????? can any one help me??????? (also have to get into it to shut that annoying house music off on the menu as its driving me insane!!!!) please help...thanks!!!

With the machine turned off, flip dipswitch 4 and power it back up. You will then see the menu. The volume can physically be adjusted with a small plastic screwdriver. There is a small orange knob on the board.

Another thing not clear in the menu - press Start 1 to save your changes. This will work on every screen except the color grid, high score clear, and switch test.

And you can enter the menu by holding down the TEST button while turning it on, also. If you don't have a TEST button, then use dip switch #4 and turn it on. Just make sure you have a 2nd action button on the control panel if you access it via dip switch, otherwise you won't be able to make changes....

another question on the dips

ok put it on dip 4 and powered it on...got a color screen to come up...
moved the joystick, pressed buttons and nothing happened...
can anyone tell me (besides the p1 button to save...
how to navigates thru the menu???? cant get past the color test page...
thanks for all your help....got the sound turned down,
really need to change the lives on jr pac off of 1....and shut that annoying house music off
i listen to pink floyd and grindcore and the music irritates me LOL

well....that's odd. How many buttons do you have on the control panel aside from P1 & P2? You need to have at least 2 buttons (1 to flip through the screens and the other to make actual changes). P1 or P2 will save the changes. A 3rd button would allow you to go back to the previous page.

If you only have one button, you will need to trace the wires for the rest of the buttons and add them yourself.
