I beat the 23 year old Punch Out RECORD!!! But......
I can NOT freak in' believe this!
First up, I have owned a punch out cabinet for over 10 years. The monitors need new cap kits so I didn't want to set any records on sub par monitors. Not to mention, to video an entire 13 hour marathon on a cabinet with NO breaks can be a PROBLEM!!!
So I decided to go ahead and beat this record on MAME.
Here was the Breakdown of my results
START TIME - Saturday July 4th 11:16Pm - FINISHED Sunday July 5th at 12:31 PM
13 hours 15 minutes grand total!!
17,0734,60 Total points ONE life. I gave up where I started. I let Glass Joe beat me after I hit 17 mill. "NO rematches" Set to twin galaxies dip switch settings
Previous record from 1986 was 15,999,990
At any rate. After recording the entire marathon I am eager to transfer the results to DVD for twingalaxies. However, when I play back the HUGE .inp file it only plays back the first 1 and a half matches. Half way during the second match my fighter completely stops fighting?? I tried playing it back a few times now and sometimes it makes it to the THIRD match them my fighter stops fighting???
Its like the RECORDED file changes almost everytime? I assume It is all there cause the files is huge! So why wont mame play back
I hope a converter or something exists to correct this issue or im totally choked!!
