I am two for two on WGV2000 Deflection board repairs! Yeah me! :)

Here is what I found and what I did. I hope it helps someone out.

Board 1 - F102 blows on start up. Found C100 shorted. R&R C100 & C101 and retested. Found F600 blows and spot killer on. Turned brightness up all the way and I could see a horizontal line. Found Q606 bad. R&R and retested. Works!

Board 2 - Found F600 blows on start up. Found Q606 bad. R&R and retested. I can see a funky glow on the screen with no vectors. Give it enough time and F600 blows again. Found Q605 bad. R&R and retested. Works!

Got another WG V2000 deflection board fixed today. Here is what I found:

Purchased as "untested".
Found F600 blown (2 amp fuse)

I recapped (except two main caps - C100 & 101) and replaced all pots.
Found D608 bad.
Removed and Replaced D608 and Retested - F600 blows
Pulled and tested Q607 (good) and Q606 (BAD)
Removed and Replaced Q606 and Retested - slight delay and then F600 blows again.
Need to look at the other semiconductors in the "Y" section. I looked at the schematics and noticed Q605 feeds Q606.
Removed and Replaced Q605 and Retested - Works!

As with the previous repairs I used the The Black & White Vector Monitor FAQ and Guide to help me out and each time has been invaluable! I hope this helps someone else.

Congrats on the successful repairs and thanks for sharing the results. :) It never hurts to add to all the tech info we've got.

You da man! Ive been working on 2 of these boards myself. Board 1 is good but board 2 still blows the fuse for the X circuit. I think I need to replace a few more parts.
