Ok, well started my first wg k7000 and it is going fairly smooth. I am taking my time so not to mix anything up. Ok my one question when I attach the new flyback do I splice the wires together from the old wires that went to the original flyback. Also when the neck board was removed some of the plastic broke, the pins are all intact and ok but someone use liquid nails or something back there. Thanks for your help.

Toby

The wires coming off the flyback should remain intact. Just replace the old ones with the wires on the new one. The broken connector should not be a problem as long as the pins seat fully.

I put some pics to help explain better. The new fly back has red and black wires with no connectors. The pics below are on the neck board where they connect my fingers are holding the wire from the old flyback. How can I put the new wire on the neck board?

The black wire pulls out after you open the housing door. The door either just pops off or it is hinged. The new wire will be inserted into the old hole.

The red wire needs a connector put on it so it will slide over the post the old wire came off of. The easiest method I have found if you don't have the proper crimper/pin is to just use a red butt connector housing. Crimp in the wire and slide the other side over the post. It is a snug fit...

Thanks brother. Went out and checked it out a nd sure enough poped the cap off and just need to solder the new black wire on and as for the red I have a butt connetor and crimped it a bit and it fits nice and tight but the plugs metal is exposed will this cause any issue? I don't think it should since it is not near anything else. Thanks again I will post tomorrow when I wrap this sucker up.

No the butt connector is Metal no plastic coating except around where the wire goes in. I put a pic of what I thought I would use.

OK, well I don't see any real problem as long as it is not in direct contact with any other conductor. If you are worried about it coat it with shrinkwrap or electrical tape.
