Hyperball

Thanks. What's funny is that a few days ago when I asked the machine guy at work if he knew where I could get those, he instantly said McMasterr Carr and also said 5/8" just looking at it. When measured it was 3/4", I was surprised as usually he is dead on with estimating measurements.

Yeah, I had Firepower on the brain and it uses the 5/8" balls. (like 84 of them)
I went ahead and measured one of mine with calipers to be absolutely sure....3/4" for the Hyperball.

On a side note, I just might order the 5/8 balls to see what they do..

Not sure how that would effect the shots, might not center up on the shooter pin well enough.

I have not yet seen this game running at night. It must put on an awesome light show. I am an LED guy, this game might have some serious possibilities...

Yeah, it's bright and constantly moving with waves of flashing lights nad explosive when the backbox flashers kick in.
It's a game that if played right will keep yours eyes on the move that's for sure.

Good catch, I cut and pasted the wrong one... they are the 3/4", updated my earlier post.

Update here

So at approx. quarter after 5 pm last night, I went on to the McMaster Carr website and ordered these balls. I got a confirmation email back from them at 5:19 pm last night saying I had ordered and the invoice with the specific amount it will cost (I did not know the shipping cost at the time I ordered, I just specified UPS ground) will be sent to my email. No problem, I was happy with that as I figured that the most it would cost to ship would be 5 dollars and I would probably get my parts Friday, maybe Monday at latest.

I get home from work today at 530 pm and there is a package waiting for me. I cannot believe that I ordered at 5 last night and i got at 5 today only paying 5 for shipping. I know McMaster Carr has a great rep for getting parts to you the next day, but I am astonished that they shipped my parts that quick!!

The balls look great, can't wait to put them in the game!

Damn, that's rediculously fast shipping.
Do let us know how they work out.
I need to order some more for mine, but my lift motor is dead right now so I'm not in a hurry.

This is a great pin and I bet you'll really love it.

I've had mine for close to 10 years and I'm finally going to sell it. It's in great shape and I'm looking get around $500 for it. I also have an extra playfield that's mostly populated. I have pics if anyone is interested, and I'm in McHenry, IL.

Update

Finally got some extra time and went to my storage place to work on hyperball. I still have no GI. I didn't really mess with it, all fuses check ok, that's as far as I got with the GI.

The new balls from McMasterr Carr work awesome. I was having lots of problems with the balls not feeding properly. I must say I am an expert now at taking the top off the machine, it was a pain at first, but I am great at it now!

Balls are getting through the subfloor. I believe they are getting through where the cable harness (sheathed snake assembly) goes through the sub-floor. Is there supposed to be some type of shield there?

I changed all the settings, the game is actually playable now and it makes sense. Fun to play.

I also have one letter not working. How do I begin to troubleshoot these switches?
