Hydro Thunder monitor issue...

i stock the width coils and cap kits if you need them. make sure to check the chassis well for cold solder joints and reflow them

So i have installed a cap kit, replaced the width coil and changed the flyback and still can't adjust the width on the coil nor the remote board. I looked for cold solder joints and re-soldered them as well. What the heck!!? Any ideas guys?

these have digital width control. you shouldn't have to do anything with the width coil, ever, unless someone was stupid and went too extreme with it somehow. you're to never adjust these with metal while the monitor is on because a) it will get very hot and b) most importantly, you can crack the ferrite core inside.

Ok, so I plugged in that loose harness to the right colors and i am able to get a little adjustment on the width from the remote board, but not enough to adjust the picture properly. I tried adjusting at the width coil with my plastic tool, but i did not get any changes, seem to have not affect going all the way in or out. I installed a new coil and i believe i lined up the legs in the correct order. Any other ideas?

make sure the transistor on the back heatsink is not grounded or shorted.

if you have it plugged in backward it will only move just a little bit.

if you need it fixed or looked at, your welcome to send it in.
