I have a 25" WG K7000 chassis that I got from a fellow KLOVer that needed help fixing it. When I got it, there was no B+. R103 was open so I changed it. While changing it I noticed that the HV pot had been moved. The glue was partially broken off and it was turned fully counterclockwise. I checked 3 of my K7000's and they all are in a different position than this one. Should I just set this one to the same position they are in? Is there any way to adjust this pot correctly? I checked the manual and didn't see any info on adjusting it.

The HOT, VR and D18 were also all bad. Would someone messing with the HV pot have caused them to fail?

Maybe.

The best thing to do would be to measure the ohm readings of the ones you have that work and are the same size (P447 or P538) and then set this one to that setting (or close to the average) before powering it up. That will give you a good starting point. Once it's up and running for a few minutes, you can adjust it depending on your B+ reading...
