HV cage cover 6100

Sorry, no help on a source for the metal..... but yeah, I could use one too!

I have a friend who runs a cnc punch and press brake, plus I have an original to copy. I may be interested in reproducing these, since this has come up a few times. The delicate question is, how much would be worth?

Damn.. didn't know this would be that popular

My buddy owns a machine shop...I do have one cover. Maybe I'll drop it off and see what he can do

I have a sheet of the metal mesh to make Williams speaker grills (of which I need to make 2). Not sure how close the hole pattern is to the HV cage, but I'm sure the difference would be minimal...

If anybody else is making these. PLEASE speak up. I'm getting ready to make them at work. I'm a Tool & Die Maker this is what I do every day. I have mine sitting on my bench at work right now. The blank is drawn up. I found the same material. I was just going to order enought stock to make 30+ pieces in the next week or so. They're not going to be $10.00 the material isn't cheap. I'll have a frim price when I announce them. I was thinking around $20 or $25 + Shipping.

I'm going to post something here, and on Vectorlist, before I order to see how much material I need. If any of you guys ever bought the Nintendo Joystick guide plates from Mikes Arcade, I'm the one that makes them for him.

wow! The last time I made a run of these was just a few years ago. I made about 80 of them. the material was no where near the price that it is now. So I basically gave them away, as a labor of love for this hobby. I was just looking to get the $ back for the shipping cost. But well over half of the people that I shipped covers to stiffed me. I still have the material to make more, just no ambition to get jerked around by a bunch of bottom feeders.

I'd post their names. :D

And always get paid before shipping anything.

Mark is just a nice guy. I've seen his work, the cages are pretty nice.
