Hurricane Ida coming my way...Which arcades will I sacrifice?

First, glad you made out pretty well (other than $3700 for a damn tree…ouch)

But am I the only person in this country that lives in an area that doesn't have natural disasters? Worst thing up here is temps reaching below -30°F and windchills down to -60°F, but as long as you're smart, the worst damage it does is a dead car battery. Fuck, man, I can't even imagine going through a hurricane.

I thought I escaped most potential natural disasters moving here to Idaho and then we had a freakin' EARTHQUAKE a couple years back... :dunno:

I've been thinking about this lately, I know milk crates were mentioned but something I was thinking could work is bed raisers. They are like $9 for a 4 pack at target. Yeah they will only help if its INCHs of water and not FEET but they do stack and not take up much room.

Here are some taller ones from Home Depot:

Glad OP weathered the storm mostly OK.

Upstate SC is pretty calm. Hurricanes mostly turn into just rain by the time they get up here. We get the occasional micro-burst/tornado/flooding, generally not too bad tho. <temping fate yikes>
