Has a sync problem that I will work out - but plays blind.

Very very sweet. I have only seen one of those and it was not in anywhere near that nice of condition.

that's a Nickels & Dimes asset tag (i have one on my CarnEvil.) they own the Tilt! arcade chain.

edited to add: too slow looking up corporate information on N&D.

they've been around since 1972 and unlike some other vendors, they do sell off their games to the public. they even put prices on every game in the arcade just before Christmas each year. i wonder if he bought it almost new at the arcade, or maybe from N&D before it went out on the floor.

If it has an arcade tag on it, can it be HUO? Did arcades sell them new BITD?

Either way, that cab is SEXY. I approve wholeheartedly. Uncommon game and fun as hell to play.

That is effing sweet, nice pickup man, glad to see it land with a Rockola fan...

Huo

Game looks great! I would not hesitate to call it HUO.. So what if I might have been an an arcade floor for a day, week, month.. It's perfect and you bought it from the original owner! Congrats on your find man! You get some pretty kickass games.

Looks good ! Nicer than the one I have . Your marquee is much brighter than mine , do you know what type of light fixture and bulb is up there ?

Hey Mods, can we get a filter where, if anyone types "HUO" into the posting window, the word "minty" is substituted? It would save people some embarrassment.

HUO is a useless term. Most often people use it when it def isn't, and HUO doesn't mean "Not abused or neglected".
I've seen a couple legitimate HUO games, that look like they've seen days on route...albeit mildly.

Pinheads are worse with HUO usage though...far more abused and lied about in those circles.

Yes game looks really nice, but obviously from the tag...not HUO. I'd bet 99% of HUO claims are BS. Who bought these for their house back in the day?

out here in Cali, it was not uncommon for people to buy NIB games for their houses.
Especially in the LA area and Silicon Valley area.

Isn't that a contradiction in terms ? ;)
(just kidding of course)

I say "HUO" proof should require a "receipt".

I don't really care either way.... it is a VERY nice machine.... that's all that matters.

I think requiring a receipt is a bit extreme :)

I allegedly have an "HUO" Food Fight. The cabinet has some very minor damage from being moved several times but the counter reads "2" and it is still plugged in. The cabinet is in outstanding condition inside and out.

I wonder if Nickels and Dimes just slapped a tag on it for their inventory purposes before selling it to a private party. I would imagine N&D was big enough to buy from manufacturers in bulk and have a home retail channel for those with deep enough pockets back in the day.

that's what i'm wondering. either way, that is one nice looking machine. i wish my Fantasy cab was half as nice.

Speaking of Rockola, did you ever get that CPO and all those brackets I had fabbed up for you? I had them made, had them sent to me and then sent them all to you months ago and never heard boo. Be nice to know if you got them, if you needed them, etc.

Hey guys - I post these things on here for everyone to enjoy... I love seeing others posts on their finds so I do my part to share the same...
Why does everyone have to super-analyze the use of HUO? Seriously... I mean you guys do have a point - unless I have absolute proof of ownership from the time it was manufactured until now - I cant HONESTLY claim that it is HUO. MY BAD! Please instead enjoy pictures of a MINTY Nibbler game and lets not stress over the use of a term!
Would it be easier on everyone if these types of finds were just kept on the down low and not posted online here? Because the reality is that people are HUMAN and might make the mistake of saying HUO when the word Minty should have been used.

As far as the light fixture... it is a regular screw in bulb type fixture right in the middle of the marquee.

And thanks to my friend Chris - I have now fixed the sync issue and this is a 100% working game.
