A while back I pulled up into DJ_Dns's driveway and he had two BZ's out in the driveway. I got looking at them and noticed they were really different than each other. Checked the serial numbers and one was really high and one was really low...around 20 or so if I remember right. One machine didnt have the molded plastic around the bezel area and no foot step at the bottom. Im pretty sure it was the low # machine that lacked these items. Both machines appeared all original.

I thought I heard it was the other way around. I heard that the non-periscope ones came out later so that spectators could better see what was going on.
Brent, BZ parts might be worth $400 but it can be really hard to get that much out of a complete and working machine (just like many games, they are worth more in parts). I know you love the game, but it can be really hard to sell even at $300.

You are 100% correct sir. The original LOW serial number BZ's came with the periscope. Newer high serial number BZ's came with the open bezel... plus they sold the open bezel as a kit for folks who had the periscope version to change out.

I'm 99.99% sure that is my old game. I did sell it back in 2005 to a guy in Michigan. I have the serial number recorded at home... I'll check that out later. Not sure where the Atari engineer part or the HUO part comes in. I aquired it from former Williams employee back in the late 90's... huh
