Been toying around with this Nova 2001 mini. G07 13", replaced the chassis because the screen did this little hula dance and couldn't get it to go away. Well, it still does it. Not as bad with the new chassis, but not really that playable either. Sound like a board issue?

Seems to be the monitor alright. Tried a WG 4900, and another WG 4600, and the pic is fine. The 13' G07 has nice color to it, but the wave top to bottom drives you bonkers. I don't have vid of it either..can't seem to get mine up and running.

In a nutshell, the wave distorts the monitor top to bottom..a nice slow wave. Doesn't affect the clarity, just twists the lettering and gameplay.

Whats the point of having a section specifically for monitor repair if people don't use it?

;)

i had the same problem on a 25 inch kortek it was 2 bad caps (ohhh the wonders of a inline cap tester they are expensive but save a shit ton of diag time and beats doing a full cap kit everytime you have a bad monitor)

Got the hula out of it trying to sync it up different. Nice clear picture, and colors.

BUT it rolls really slow. Adjusting the pot slows it down, but won't lock it up from rolling. The pot has been replaced before from what I can see, but starting to think it the wrong value for the damn thing. Tried it out on several other machines like this, and the roll won't stop. Can get it close, but plfffftttt!!!

What is the value of the pot, and where can I get one? (ain't givin' up yet!)

I don't see anything about this chassis having new caps. Take care of that before you worry about a bad pot...
