We're these brackets original on any of the hs5's or did someone add them later?

I've seen some with them. Some had the slots for panel clamps. others were placed there in order to keep the control panel from shifting around...However in this case it seems those were placed in after the fact.

I am trying decide if I should cut them off before I have it powder coated. I think Ill leave them. It cant hurt.

don't have them on my hs5, they don't look original. I would remove them.
Bolts in the side of the cabinet to lock the control panel doesn't look any good to me.
Just my opinion

They aren't original. They were added so no one could pry the CP open and steal the change or the PCB. Carage bolts came in from the sides of the cab and were bolted in place through the coin door. Game may have been in a laundry mat. One good thing, it looks like they properly welded the triangles in place as well, they are normally just spot welded and often break loose. That will never happen on this CP.
