How's my pinball wish list?

The few pins that I have played from back in the day until now, that I feel hold up for my likings, are:
-Addams Family(good luck finding one at a decent price)
-Revenge From Mars(still new, so expect the high price tag)
-Whirlwind
-Star Wars(can't remember which one, it wasn't Ep. 1 though)
-Iron Man

There are a lot of KLOVers that love pins that are older than what I listed above, I myself haven't found any in those catagories that have made me excited. That's just from growing up in different times and areas, my favorite games and pins are on that edge of newness to the end of semi classic I guess. As mentioned, play the ones you can and go from there. Don't spend that kind of money without trying it, just because others like it/own it.

I've was never a pinball player in arcades, but at some point I'd like to own one for my collection. The ones I'm thinking about now are just based on the theme of the game, and not on actual game play, which could obviously be bad. So please let me know what you think of the following pins:

Viper Night Driving
Simpsons (not sure the different versions out there)
Star Wars (again, I know nothing about the different versions)
South Park (see above)

Are any of those decent, or should I stay away? Thanks!
This list would look much better if posted in the right section. (pinball)

Honestly, you need to play them first. Everyone will tell you to buy a Twilight Zone, Addams Family, and all the other top 10 games like nothing else exists/is worthy of mention.

I can't help you on Viper, never played it. I do love the Dodge Viper myself, so the theme is interesting. As for the Simpsons, it's not my thing, but Stern made a pretty good machine for that. It isn't a bad pick.

When it comes to Star Wars, I don't really think you can go wrong. The theme is just so strong, so great, that any of the machines are going to be fine for you. It might not be a "play it everyday" type of game, but you'd probably enjoy it. Plus, 90% of visitors you have will immediately gravitate to any Star Wars game and want to play it. I like South Park the show, but I've never seen the pin. I'd play it to see how it goes.

Your list isn't terrible, but just odd to people that only focus on the big names. I will probably end up with one or two (out of 7-8) top games in my collection.

Ive heard a lot of Steve Ritchie pins are pretty great. I have an F-14 Tomcat and love it.

Whenever I goto the Texas Pinball festival I try out new to me pins, for some reason the ones I like are usually in the top ten. They're fun, colorful, challenging, guess that's why they are in the top 10.

Others I get to the 2 or 3rd ball and I'm bored.

This year I did like champion pub & junkyard, both had pretty cool special events.

Just go play some, to each his own really.

I was thinking about F-14 as well. Does it have a decent rule set, or is it pretty basic?

I'm a new pin player but from what I understand it's somewhat basic compared to other pins but that's why people love it. And the light show is amazing (especially with the flash mod I did to mine yesterday).

The Internet Pinball Database has good info and ratings on pretty much any pin ..

Like the others have said you should track one down locally and play to see if you like it. Below seems like a good resource in your area to find pins.
