Ok - before I get any nay sayers, I want to cover a couple bases first:

1. I will not be hacking or destroying a classic Donkey Kong.
2. I recently purchased a complete (I believe) conversion kit for a Popeye.
3. I own (2) DK machines, both are fully functional and one has the DK II artwork & game.
4. Both cabinets have the horizontal mounting bolts already (in when I got them).
5. I tried to search the forum and web, but not much info.

Sooo - now for what I am curios about:

The instruction manual does not talk about converting from a DK, why not?

In the kit it has an adapter harness, but does not look correct for the DK style power supply, is there a different adapter or power supply I need?

I'm thinking the kit is to convert a Vs. Cabinet, am I right?

Should I not mess with it and just look for a cheap/crappy Vs. cabinet to get my Popeye kit working?

Any answers or help would be greatly appreciated....

let's see pics of this adapter harness.

Popeye used a PP900 power supply, but it will run fine on a DK PP7B just fine if it is wired correctly.

First off I must say thanks for all of your great contributions to the Arcaders such as myself - you are a credit to the community! I have read your insights before and this is my first from you, thanks!

Its Friday and I've had a few beers (see link http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=49368&page=184 ) - slow to respond. I will check back soon to see any helpful info.

I think I got the correct stuff you need, see attached reference photos...

Is there an adapter for the harness?

You have the wiring setup for a PP-900 power supply

Is there an adapter harness that will connect the DK PP7B power supply to the Popeye harness that has connectors for PP-900?

The harness also looks different how it connects to the audio board, but I could be wrong...
