I have a old rampage cab that has been converted into an umk3.

Everything works fine now but the psu looks terrible and the plug has corrison.

I was wondering if somone had a tutorial on how to wire a basic atx computer power supply to a jamma board.

Also how would somone wire a standard vga monitor lcd or crt to a jamma board.

I have free access to all these parts as I work in computers daily and have access to plenty of psu and monitors.

I know it can be done as I have seen people doing it. Just never seen any sort of a tutorial and I am a complete noob.

Thanks in advance

ATX pinout is here : http://pinouts.ru/Power/atxpower_pinout.shtml
To force the power supply to come on, tie the green wire (pin 14) to ground. Just connect the proper voltages from the ATX supply to the equivilent wires in the game's harness.

You don't. Arcade game boards need arcade monitors. The sync rates are different between arcade and computer monitors. Some very old monitors will sync to the 15.75khz rates from the arcade board, but anything VGA will not work. There exist converters, but they're kind of expensive, and defeats the purpose of reusing a cheap monitor.

I guess this guy that is selling boards on ebay is using a converter? I would love to have a test setup wired to my 50 plasma like this
