I have no clue how this is even possible, but the area where you stand on while playing Chase HQ is bent upward to where it's approx 2" off of the floor at the end. If I look at the inside of the game cab, there is no floor damage at all. It's almost like the Hulk grabbed the floor podium part and bent it up! I can't find any bolts or screws to undo, so I'm wondering how (if at all) I can make this flat again? Maybe stack olympic barbell weights on top and see if it will bend back down?

I swear these poor games see more torture than a concentration camp in 'Nam. :(

Are you talking about the wooden section where you rest the foot on the pedal? That wooden section is part of the underside of the cabinet :-(

Btw, where did you find this game? Sounds like everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

I have a full parts bin if you need to get yours going.

Thanks! I may need some help with parts for the gas pedal. This one looks like it was half-assed back together.

A guy up the street from me had it for sale. He said he bought it from an auction and I guess the plan had been to get it up and running to put it on his route that he had. And to be honest, from what I'm hearing, Chase HQ could have a wide variety of other phantoms and glitches so I think I'm getting off pretty easy with mine. :D

Typical of all late 80's Taito titles, although (knock on wood) my Chase HQ has been solid. I found it at a convenience store 1 hour away from my place while walking in to buy a drink. It had toilet paper stacked in front top to bottom lol. After speaking with the owner and finding out he was a former operator, I tested it, offered him $200 and came back the next day with a van to pick it up. The only thing that didn't work were the chase lights and shifter, but all it ended up being was burnt out bulbs and a bad microswitch. 2 years today and she is still solid and gets the most game play amongst guests. Me being the paranoid maniac that I am, purchased a full parts machine and gutted it and have a full Chase HQ in a bin, lol.

I've had horrible luck with them. I've had 3, I think, and they all had board issues. Lines on the screen, missing backgrounds, etc. I run from them now. There's only about 4 games I won't buy, that's one of them, lol.

I really hope this one continues on a good path now that it's up and running. I get totally sucked in when it's time to do the chase and the lights are rolling. I completely lose sight of everything else around me. It's insane!

The video quality is beautiful. There's some burn-in on the tube from another game, but after all I've done the past few weeks to bring her back to life, I can cope with some tube burn for now :D

It's also making me want to get the original boardset back up and running so I have a back-up. The game is an absolute blast to play!

Couldn't agree more!! Still today, I cannot finish it with less than four credits. Pathetic I know. At least it keeps me playing it trying to do it on 2 credits. :)
