Hey All,
I'm still in the draft stages of learning to build a website.
But thought I'd share incase you guys had any input or suggestions?
(I'll ask if you have a negative comment to balance it with a positive suggestion...)

In a quest to learn about building websites I thought it would be a unique challenge to see if it was possible to quantify a complex game like Robotron. Something that would speak to the novice and advanced player including some techy stuff for the KLOV crowd.

Star Worlds arcade will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Robotron this summer with a variety of fun promotions and contests. After talking a lot with Pat O'Malley, the website idea just started formulating itself.

Here is my humble attempt-

Shout out to wldfire for awesome hosting assistance, darrin at phoenix, seanriddle, yellowdog, dokert, cliff clavin, calz, athometech

If you love Robotron and wish to submit ideas or have something to feature just PM me and I'll incorporate you into the project.
Remember please-This is just for fun, not anything else. Enjoy.

Awesome job for a classic game! Anyone interested in Robotron and those who are simply discovering the game should check out the website....Lots of information on the particular traits of the various Robotron enemies......Also, for those having board issues there is a section describing some of the more common reasons and solutions for board resets......

I would search the forums here for the other threads on Robotron Strategy. There have been several.

I have only gotten around 2.4 million but there are others on here who can easily roll the machine.

I really like it. I fall into the "love Robotron, but suck at it" group. :)

Only suggestion I have is that the marquee seems too big to me. It overwhelms the category buttons underneath. How about something more scaled down such as these? You could use the extra space on the sides for whatever. I did one quick example just throwing in the word Guidebook so you could possible remove that note you have that comes before the marquee. Just a thought!

very cool. trying to use the one with yellow guidebook in it but having trouble with the cropping utility. i get it setup in paint, save as jpg, but no matter what resolution image, I upload it only wants to use a small portion of the image. hmmmm.

I'll have to play with it. thank you again.

I'll have to check out that tips thread and see what shakes. good stuff.

All tips in the 2009 thread are posted on 1500 website. Robotron requires good joysticks and fast reflexes and tons of practice.

Check out Max Adventure app for iPhone. Best robotron/smash TV themed game I've ever seen.
I'm starting a list of similar games under the Platforms link if any has a favorite to mention.

I just rebuilt two 4" Wico joysticks (including new centering grommets), power supply and the 4900 for the Robotron going to the 2012 NW Pinball and Arcade Show June 8-10 at the Seattle Center.

The folks at that show are in for a treat....and no carpet pattern resets. :)

We'll be in Seattle the last week of June, would like to make that show sometime but not this year, the son lives in Seattle and has been to the show before.....
