The lockbar on top of my Sorcerer pin slides around a little when it's in its place on top of the machine playfield. Is there a way to stop this? I don't think it bugs anyone other than me but, it bugs me enough that I created this thread :D

There are adjustment screws for the latches. Yours are probably just not clamping the bar down all the way. Take the lockbar off and you should see some (usually flat head) adjustments for the latch height.

Or just use duct tape.

Thank you I will check that out.

Better yet - just remove it. And while you're at it, get rid of that pesky glass. That will allow you to fully appreciate the playfield artwork, and sounds of a pinball in action :)

Pinball with the glass off is far too easy. But, you can also put the game on "pause" this way. (Take the ball out).

Can I get a pic of this mobob? I don't see any "seal" under there.

I also tried loosening the 2 screws under the lockbar and it made no significant difference.

There should be a padding or "seal" of some sort stuck to the bottom of the lockbar. Some are a felt material, some are more of a rubber foam.

You would tighten the screws down to make the lockbar sit tighter to the cab, not loosen them.

pic attached. it's the bit in the red outline.

usually a foam rubber type material. it's called a beer seal because it was common to have the machines in a bar, and if somebody spilled a beer on the glass, it would prevent the beer from running down into the electronics (coin door, mostly, i'd suspect) and mucking things up. but it also helps the lockdown bar make a tight connection.

you can order them from pinball life (see http://www.pinballlife.com/index.ph...ch&search_in=all&search_str=beer+seal&x=0&y=0). you might have two or only one of them - depends on the machine.

they're cheap and easy to replace.

Home Depot and get a small roll of weather stripping with adhesive backing.

Interesting- I don't think there's one of those on the bar at all currently..
