want to flip my horizontal monitor to a vertical, to make my machine a 48-in-1 machine. . . How hard is that to do, and where is a good place to get a 48 in 1 board??? thanks. .
How hard it is depends on your cabinet. Some are very easy, and other require major reconstruction. Shows us your cab and we can give you an idea as to how hard it will be.
As for getting a 48-in-1, there are always ads for them in the For Sale section....

easiest thing to do would be to cut your mounting bracket out of plywood, I couldnt figure any way to turn my Bad Dudes with the installed hardware. Also plug your multi board in first to see which way to turn it Bad Dudes has a dip switch which flips the pic, so you dont know if your monitor is actually right side up or not (mine wasnt). I ended up just waiting and finding a vert jamma cab
I got my 60-1 from Wu (just do a search), excellent board
You should be able to just roatate your monitor in that cabinet. maybe with the plywood connected or just taking out your monitor and turning it 90 degrees. should not be much to do.
