I have DK Sideart on a garbage cab but is in mint condition. I would like to take the sideart off and put it on my restored cab. Whats the best way to remove the sideart without destroying?

I've only seen a couple of people remove side art without damaging it. Don't think I've ever heard of anyone reapplying side art once removed although it could be possible, don't know. At any rate silk screened donkey kong side art has been available for years. I would suggest you buy that rather than fighting with removing old art no matter how good condition.

I've seen some folks have luck with a hair dryer or heat gun. Heat up the old glue and it might peel right off - slowly...

I second this for removing, but have never seen anyone reuse it. I think the heat gun will cause the vinyl to stretch easier and the chance that it will go back on even and not look like a piece of bacon is slim.

I am not saying it isn't possible but for the amount of time and effort you will have to put into maybe getting something usable out of it, you might as well just buy new art.

I just took some DK3 artwork off of a particle board DK Jr. cab and it came off in one piece. I used a hair dryer. It didn't stretch terribly, but I doubt it would reapply cleanly.

The only sideart I managed to pull off in one piece was from a waterlogged Asteroids and the only reason was because it was waterlogged.
